Newly signed Sekhukhune United striker Bradley Grobler has shed light on his decision to join the club, stating the move perfectly aligns with his personal ambitions.
Grobler is among the new players signed by Sekhukhune for the 2025/26 season. The 37-year-old has already made a huge impact at the club, scoring two goals on his debut.
Sekhukhune United beat TS Galaxy 3-2 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday evening to advance to the MTN8 semi-finals. For his performances, Grobler was also awarded the Man of the Match award.
WHAT ATTRACTED BRADLEY GROBLER TO JOIN SEKHUKHUNE UNITED
“I have achieved a lot, but there is a lot I want to achieve. It’s been a long time since I won a trophy, and I miss that feeling,” Grobler told journalists.
“I feel I have joined a team that also wants that first trophy, and I believe I have joined the team that’s got the potential, the ambition and that was very important for me.
“So I think it’s joining the team that wants and has the same version that I have of winning trophies, and that’s the plan for me for the season. I know the goals will come,” he added.

BAFANA BAFANA STRIKER STILL HAS THE PSL ALL-TIME TOP SCORER IN MIND
“Everyone keeps talking about the 129 goals [record]. Obviously, that will always be on the back of my mind, but there are bigger things to come before that.”
Grobler has also opened up on what it meant to play his first match at Sekhukhune and not get an injury.
“From a personal point of view, obviously, last year, I had a very bad facial injury. But I went through a very good pre-season this year. It’s the first time that I went through a pre-season, and I really felt that I didn’t overdo it myself, and that’s credit to the coach and the technical team.
“I did enough to get me to a level where today I really felt good for the 80 minutes that I played. Last season, I got injured in the first game of the season, so I have gone through this first game, and mentally that is important for me.”
