Newly formed Betway Premiership side, Siwelele FC, have snatched highly-rated Highbury FC playmaker Koketso Sekgodiso.
Siwelele, who purchased SuperSport Unitedโs top-flight status, are on a mission to reassemble a formidable squad for the upcoming season.
They have secured the services of the young and exciting midfielder who played his football in the National First Division [NFD] last season. The Lehlohonolo Seema-coached club inherited the full squad of Supersport United after purchasing the Tswane sideโs status.
SuperSport struggled last season, finishing 14th and surviving relegation. In an effort to avoid the same fate, the Premiership new boys are quietly negotiating deals to strengthen their squad.
The Siwele takeover was followed by departures of some of the most prolific figures in the squad. These include Bradley Grobler, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Ime Okon, Siphesihle Ndlovu and Terrence Dzukamanja. This eventuality has also been another contributing factor to Siweleleโs need for new players.

WHO IS SIWELELEโS NEW MIDFIELDER KOKETSO SEKGODISO?
Sekgodiso is a talented 22-year-old attacking midfielder renowned for being skilful and creative in the final third. The 22-year-old made 15 appearances at his former club last season, scoring two goals and registering two assists.
With perhaps not the most exciting statistics, the Tshwane-born midfielder has, however, engineered a good impression on the Siwelele scouts, securing his first top-flight contract.
Without revealing contractual specifics, an insider has confirmed to FARPost that the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee. Sekgodiso has also finalised his personal terms. In fact, the talented midfielder played in a friendly match against Leruma United on Monday.
The industrious attacker joined the Eastern Cape side at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, after his departure from Dondol Stars, who had just sold their SAFA Gauteng ABC Mostsepe League status.
