Casric Stars have lost a key member of their technical team, Hassan Kehinde Falayajo, just weeks before the start of the 2025/26 Motsepe Foundation Championship season.
Hassan Kehinde Falayajo, who has served as an assistant coach at the Mpumalanga-based club since 2022, has been a crucial part of the team.
Falayajo has helped the club reach the promotional playoffs twice, most recently last season. After finishing third in the Motsepe Foundation, Casric missed promotion to the Betway Premiership after falling short in the PSL Promotional/Relegation playoffs.
Alongside Orbit College FC and Cape Town City FC, they finished bottom of the playoffs table, with three draws and one loss. Orbit College, who secured two wins, including a 1-0 victory over CT City, was ultimately promoted, while The Citizens were relegated to the second-tier league.

FALAYAJO CONFIRMS CASRIC EXIT AHEAD OF NEW SEASON IN THE NFD
In an interview with FARPost, Falayajo confirmed his departure from the club, citing a need for a โfresh challenge.โ
โYes, I can confirm that Iโve left Casric. Itโs very difficult for me to part ways with the team after four years,โ he said. โI feel the need for a change and a new environment to continue doing what I know best. I wish the team good luck for the season.โ
Following the departure of Sundra Govender, who joined Marumo Gallants as the team’s second assistant coach in December 2024, Falayajo stepped in as caretaker coach alongside Selaoetse โSlyโ Mosala. The two managed the team for five games before Bucs Mthombeni, the clubโs CEO, took over the coaching responsibilities.
Falayajo previously worked with the now-defunct JDR Stars during their promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He also had a stint with Black Leopards in the past. Now a naturalised citizen, he holds a CAF C License.
