A Southeastern European club is closing in on former AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowan Human. Human was part of the South Africa team playing at CHAN, being hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

However, FARPost can reveal that an Albanian Superliga giant expressed interest in bringing him over as they seek to finalise his transfer. Human is a free agent after leaving Usuthu at the end of last season. The two parties could not agree on a new deal.

The talented attacking linkman had to withdraw from the CHAN team a day before they left for Kampala, where they are based for the group stages. Bafana Bafana arrived on Sunday and only played their first game on Friday against Algeria, which ended 1-1.

Humanโ€™s situation required him to withdraw from the camp and make preparations to travel to Albania. And as reported by this publication, he is also on the radar of Betway Premiership newcomers, Durban City FC.

WHICH TEAM IS ROWAN HUMAN LINKED TO?

The 24-year-old is linked with FK Partizani, one of the Albanian Kategoria Superioreโ€™s big teams. Partizani hasn’t secured the league title since the 2022/23 season, in which they also won the Albanian Super Cup.

Historically, the club was the most successful under communism with 17 league titles. Recently, they faced setbacks in the UEFA Conference League qualification, losing 2-1 on aggregate to Estoniaโ€™s Nรตmme Kalju.

The team begins their new season with a match against Vora on August 23. Reports suggest they have requested Human to join them as they prepare for the upcoming campaign. Recently, Partizani appointed 57-year-old Serbian coach Mladen Milinkovic as head coach.

The Red Bulls, who play their home matches at Arena e Demave in Tirana, are regular participants in UEFA club competitions. They have friendly matches lined up before the season starts and could use those to get Human ready.

Partizani is home to a number of African players, including Senegalese defender Saliou Sembene, Nigerian midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye, Babouccar Jatta from The Gambia and Congo centre forward Archange Bintsouka.

Humanโ€™s football journey started at Bidvest Wits academy before he moved to Maritzburg United. He also played outside South Africa, including a season at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam FC in Israel during the 2020/21 season.
