Former PSL club Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM] has returned to football, two years after its relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship following the completion of the 2022/23 season.
At the time of their relegation to the ABC Motsepe League, the club was based in Mangaung in the Free State, having moved there after a fallout with the management of Thohoyandou Stadium in their original Limpopo province.
The club subsequently sold their third-tier league – SAFA ABC Motsepe League status to a club named Maruleng Celtic based in the Mopani District in Limpopo.
Reportedly, TTM had attempted to buy their way back into the PSL by acquiring the status of a club in either the Motsepe Foundation Championship or the Betway Premiership, but these efforts were unsuccessful.

Phasha has confirmed that they have purchased the status back from Maruleng Celtic. He also confirmed that charismatic coach Lucky ‘Muchichwa’ Nelukau has been officially appointed as the head coach.
“Yes. I am back as the head coach of TTM. We want to challenge for promotion,” Nelukau confirmed to FARPost.
“We need this team to go back to the PSL as soon as possible. Obviously, we were looking for a status in both the PSL and NFD, so we decided to come back to the ABC Motsepe League so that we can take this club back where it belongs. I also decided to come back to coaching after my long break.”
The SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League is set to resume from next month after the completion of the promotional Limpopo Inter-Regional Playoffs this past weekend.
