With head coach Sinethemba Badela’s impending departure from Chippa United, former Richards Bay FC striker Somila Ntsundwana has resurfaced at the club.
Ntsundwana was part of the squad during the early pre-season as the team assessed him.
However, reports suggest that the dynamic striker was among the players Badela believed did not meet his standards. Badela was also hesitant to work with players like Motebang Sera and Thabiso Kutumela.
The young coach clashed with the club over their transfer policy, which aimed to bring in talents often overlooked by others. The idea is to create a high-performance environment and provide top-tier coaching for the players to foster their development.
Badela, however, felt these players were not good enough for the demands of the Betway Premiership. His departure is imminent, with an official announcement expected soon.

Interestingly, FARPost confirms that Ntsundwana trained with the team on Saturday. Indications are that Chippa United plans to sign him to bolster their attack.
SOMILA NTSUNDWANA WOULD BRING EXPERIENCE TO CHIPPA UNITED
The 28-year-old forward, originally from Motherwell, would bring valuable experience to the youthful Chippa United squad. He spent four seasons with Richards Bay after joining them from Royal Eagles. During his time there, he made 92 appearances and scored nine goals and eight assists across all competitions.
Ntsundwana’s contract with the Natal Rich Boyz expired in June, and both parties agreed not to renew it. He was eager to move closer to home and be near his family.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Cape club could still revisit their interest in Kutumela, who is currently having a good tournament at CHAN. Like Ntsundwana, ‘Kutu’ also left Richards Bay at the end of last season.
He has been involved in all three goals scored by Bafana Bafana at the CHAN. He was at the end of two of those goals while he assisted the other one.
