Belgian coach Luc Eymael is poised to lead a newly assembled technical team at Chippa United after the departure of Sinethemba Badela and three other staff members. FARPost reported on the impending exit of Badela over the weekend.
This came after the two parties felt they were misaligned on the approach to the project. Badela, who served as assistant coach to Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Athletic Club, presided over the 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns and the 1-0 loss to Durban City FCย in the new 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
His assistant, Musa Nyatama, who was in charge when they lost 4-1 to TS Galaxy on Saturday, is also on his way out of the club. Goalkeeper coach Thembalethu Moses and analyst Prinil Deen are also leaving the club.
Eymael, who has had stints with Free State Stars, Black Leopards and Polokwane City FC, has arrived in South Africa and looks set to finalise his move soon. Chippa play their upcoming game on Tuesday next week against Richards Bay FC in KZN.

LUC EYMAEL EXPECTED TO STEADY THE SHIP
The Chilli Boys sought an experienced, European coach with an understanding of the local game. The 65-year-old mentor won the Nedbank Cup in 2018 and will be hoping for another successful stint.
This is not the first time Chippa has engaged him after efforts to bring him stalled in December 2020 over alleged racist remarks.
However, after an extensive independent investigation, the SAFA Ethics Committee cleared Eymael of any allegations of racism. As a result, the veteran coach is free to be employed in the country again.
The Ethics Committee found no evidence that Eymael made any derogatory, insulting, or racist remarks and cleared him of any alleged wrongdoing.
Should there be paperwork delays for him to sit on the bench, the Chilli Boys could turn to Morgan Mammila, who assisted Nyatama in the previous league game.
