Former Sekhukhune United and Chippa United goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua has resurfaced at Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards.
Kazapua spent the past season at Babina Noko but only made four appearances in all competitions. The Namibian international also spent two seasons at fellow Betway Premiership side Chippa United.
But after struggling to find a club in the Premiership, the 36-year-old is now training with Leopards in the second-tier league.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR FORMER SEKHUKHUNE UNITED GOALKEEPER LLOYD KAZAPUA?
This publication has established that a deal could be concluded ahead of Leopards’ opening match of the new 2025/26 season on Saturday.
โWe are still negotiating with him, we have not concluded anything yet, but he is here,โ Leopards’ team manager Abel Makhubele told FARPost. โWhen we have signed everything, he will be unveiled.

Makhubele also confirmed that they have brought in three new goalkeepers in the Leopards squad. This is after they parted ways with all three shot-stoppers at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Leopards released Zambian international Cyril Chibwe, Lehlohonolo Phali, as well as Mashudu Makhavhu, who has since penned a deal with Polokwane City FC.
โRemember, we released all the goalkeepers because we looked at how many goals we conceded,โ added Makhubele. โWe were in the top three teams that have conceded a lot of goals [last campaign]. We are not saying it was only the goalkeepersโ fault. But they also came under scrutiny after we conceded so much.
“We have a completely new set of goalkeepers, and they will be unveiled in due course. But the team looks strong.โ
Leopards will open their season with a home fixture against Casric Stars at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
