After three matches in Zimbabwe’s PSL, ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Knowledge Musona finally got it right and scored his first goal for Scottland FC at theย Rufaro Stadium in Harare on Saturday afternoon.

Musona scored in Scottland FC’s 3-1 win over Herentals College FC in the league’s Matchday 26. The 35-year-old opened his goal account with a curling shot from a free-kick after ten minutes of play.

The other two goals were scored by former Orlando Pirates striker Terrence Dzvukamanja and Tymon Machope. Ralph Kawondera netted Herentals College FC’s consolation.

In addition, this is Musona’s first time playing in Zimbabwe’s elite league. He graduated from ACES Youth Soccer Academy [AYSA] in Harare before sealing a move to SA.

In the last 17 years, The Smiling Assassin has played in South Africa, Germany, Belgium and Saudi Arabia. And it looks like Zimbabwe is where he will end his stellar career.

Nevertheless, he will be hoping to prove his worth, having reportedly become the highest-paid player following his return to Zimbabweโ€™s PSL.

The Zimbabwean international joined Scottland FC of Zimbabwe in July as a free agent. That was after his release from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Okhdood after one season.

Moreso, he was the latest ex-Betway Premiership star to join the Zimbabwean PSL. In fact, Scottland FC have become a desired destination for most Zimbabwean stars in the Betway Premiership.

Scottland FC have assembled the most feared squad in Zimbabwe’s elite league. They have Khama Billiat, Dzvukamanja, Walter Musona, Khuda Muyaba and Ronald Pfumbidzai.

Scottland FC are enjoying a fine run in their maiden season. As it stands, they sit on a five-game unbeaten run. They are one of the favourites to win the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.

With eight games remaining before the curtain goes down, it is not hard to imagine them walking away with the league title. They are second on the log table with 52 points on their tally. Log leaders Simba Bhora are one point ahead.
