Morena Ramoreboli, former coach of Thembinkosi Lorch, has revealed the two standout qualities he believes define the 32-year-old winger’s game.
The Botswana National Team mentor, Ramoreboli, coached Lorch during their time together at Maluti FET College, who were competing in SA football third tier back in 2013.
Lorch did not return to train with Mamelodi Sundowns after his loan spell at Wydad Athletic Club ended. The forward had joined the Moroccan giants from the Tshwane giants on a temporary deal in January.
After weeks of speculation, Lorch has officially completed a permanent move to Wydad AC. The Moroccan powerhouse confirmed the transfer four days ago.
During his loan spell, ‘Nyoso’ scored three goals in 17 matches across all competitions. His impressive performance, including a standout display at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, marked a significant revival of his career.
WHAT ARE THE TWO THINGS THAT IMPRESSES MORENA RAMOREBOLI ABOUT THEMBINKOSI LORCH
Coach Morena Ramoreboli highlighted two things that impress him about the Bafana Bafana international: his ability to perform on big occasions and his adaptability to new challenges.
“When you look at his performance, I always tell people that what I have realised about Thembinkosi Lorch, firstly, is his ability to rise [perform] extremely well during bigger stages. That is one part I think he has been doing well on,” Ramoreboli told FARPost.
“Secondly, it is easy for him to adapt to the challenges he faces in life. I’m saying this because he has learned a lot when we were still working together.
“He worked with different coaches, from whom he has learned, and that is another part I think has helped him a lot too.”
