The stage is set for an exciting MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC with the PSL officially announcing the venue and date for the highly anticipated match.
This announcement took place on Wednesday at the PSL headquarters in Parktown, Johannesburg, which included the MTN8 final home and away draw.
The highly anticipated finale between the Buccaneers and the Cape Winelands-based outfit is set for Saturday, 13 September 2025. The kick off is set for 18:00.
The defending champions, Pirates, will be the home team in this final, with Stellenbosch as the away team.
Pirates booked their spot in the MTN8 final after a 4-1 win on penalties over Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday in Pretoria. The second-leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium ended in a 1-1 stalemate, resulting in an aggregate scoreline of 2-2.
On the other hand, Stellies cruised their way into the tournament’s final after defeating Sekhukhune United with a 3-1 score on aggregate.

The Buccaneers will be looking to defend their MTN8 title against the Steve Barker-coached side. The Soweto giants, under the guidance of Abdeslam Ouaddou, will be gunning for their fourth consecutive MTN8 triumph.
Last season, the Sea Robbers won the MTN8 trophy after defeating Stellenbosch 3-1 in the final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
PSL REVEAL THE MTN8 FINAL VENUE
The Pirates and Stellenbosch showdown will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga with the trophy and 10 million at stakes.
The 43,500-capacity stadium is expected to be a sold out affair, as it was for last yearโs final between the two teams.
Last season, the MTN8 final was played at Moses Mabhida Stadium for the ninth time since 2012. In addition, it was the fifth consecutive time that the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue has hosted the MTN8 final match.
Meanwhile, the PSL said that the information about the ticket sales and other logistical details will be provided in due course.
