Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named the final 23-man squad to face Lesotho and Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Belgian mentor cut down his squad after initially announcing the preliminary squad over a week ago. Broos made the announcement of his squad in a live broadcast on SABC 1 on Thursday.

Bafana will lock horns with Lesotho on Friday, 05 September, before taking on Nigeria in a mouth-watering four days later on Tuesday, 09 September at the Free State Stadium.

Both matches will be hosted at the same venue in South Africa, as Lesotho does not have a CAF-compliant stadium to host international matches.

The 2023 AFCON bronze medallists, Bafana, are in pole position to qualify for the World Cup that the USA, Mexico, and Canada will co-host.
