Ex-Kaizer Chiefs defender and Mozambican international Edmilson Dove has found a new home after signing for Al Quwa Al Jawiya in Iraq.
Dove has been without a club since July 2025 after Amakhosi opted against renewing his contract when it expired in June this year.
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya competes in the Iraq Stars League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Dove was announced by the Baghdad-based outfit on Thursday night.
The 31-year-old signed for the Soweto giants in August 2022, having previously played for UD Songo in his native country, where he spent six months after parting ways with Cape Town City FC.
HOW EDMILSON DOVE FARED AT KAIZER CHIEFS LAST SEASON
Last season, Dove featured in 13 matches for Chiefs across all competitions. His playing time was derailed by the injury, which occurred when the experienced defender tore his Achilles tendon during the Chiefsโ pre-season training camp in Turkey ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Following his injury setback, Dove had to go back to South Africa for reconstructive surgery, which took him seven months to recover.
In total, he spent three seasons with the Glamour Boys, now led by Nasreddine Nabi, taking part in 56 matches as both a left-back and a centre-back.
Dove is among the eight players who have left Chiefs ahead of the 2025/26 PSL season. Other players include Mduduzi Mdantsane, Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe, Bongani Sam, Edson Castillo, Njabulo Blom and Tebogo Potsane.
He is expected to bring his extensive experience of the beautiful game and add value to Al Quwa Al Jawiya’s defensive options.
