Kaizer Chiefs have announced a fixture change later this month as they prepare for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign. The club will represent South Africa alongside last year’s semi-finalists, Stellenbosch FC.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns, the finalists from last year, and Orlando Pirates will compete in the CAF Champions League. Amakhosi will kick off their continental journey on the weekend of September 19-21 during the preliminary round.
They will travel to Luanda, Angola, for the first leg of their match against Kabuscorp Sport Clube do Palanca. The second leg is scheduled for a week later at the FNB Stadium.
This fixture adjustment has been made to accommodate the CAF schedule after the FIFA international break.
WHICH KAIZER CHIEFS FIXTURE HAS BEEN CHANGED
The Glamour Boys would have hosted Sekhukhune United on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at the FNB Stadium. However, the club has confirmed that they will now host the log leaders a day earlier.

“Kaizer Chiefs will now host Sekhukhune United a day earlier than originally scheduled,” the club said in a brief statement. Kick off on Tuesday, 16 September, is still 19h30, and the change will allow Chiefs to travel to Angola in time for Saturday’s match in Angola.
Interestingly, Chiefs and Sekhukhune are the only teams yet to lose a match. They have both won four of their matches and drawn one. Babina Noko beat Pirates, TS Galaxy, Orbit College and Durban City. They drew against AmaZulu FC.
Amakhosi, on the other hand, are yet to concede a goal this season. They beat Stellenbosch, Polokwane City, Richards Bay and Golden Arrows. Their only draw came against defending champions Sundowns. Both teams will look to continue with their bright start to the season when they meet in a fortnight.
