Sekhukhune United veteran frontman Bradley Grobler has his sights set on breaking the PSL’s all-time goal-scoring record, a milestone currently held by Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile.
This comes as Shalulile recently set a new PSL record, becoming the South African top-flight’s all-time leading goal scorer with 130 goals.
The Namibian international, Shalulile, netted the record-breaking goal during Sundowns’ 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday, August 30, in a Betway Premiership match.
He broke the previous record of 129 goals set by former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana forward Siyabonga Nomvethe.
Grobler, on the other hand, currently sits third on the PSL all-time top goal scorer chart with 121 goals, just nine goals behind Shalulile.

BRADLEY GROBLER ON PETER SHALULILE’S PSL MILESTONE
The 37-year-old forward expressed his desire to pursue Shalulile’s record while also praising the Sundowns forward as an exceptional professional for his recent achievement.
In the current season, Grobler has scored four goals in eight appearances across all competitions for Babina Noko, while Shalulile has found the back of the net twice in five games for Masandawana.
“I have to congratulate Peter Shalulile on his achievement. It’s something I have thought about for a long time. Obviously, the dream is still there to become the PSL’s all-time top goal scorer,” said Grobler on Marawa Sports Worldwide.
“But at the same time, we have to congratulate Peter. For those who know him, I have had the pleasure of chatting with him on several occasions, and I couldn’t be happier for him.
“If there’s a player who is an example of what a professional should be, he’s the guy. I’m very happy for him. I will try to chase him.”
In addition, Grobler scored his 100th league goal when Sekhukhune defeated Durban City FC 2-0 on Saturday, 30 August, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Grobler is the second-highest goal scorer in the Betway Premiership [league goals only]. He trails Nomvethe, who leads the list with 105 goals, while Peter Shalulile is in third place with 91 goals.
