Former Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela has resurfaced at Betway Premiership side Magesi FC, FARPost has learnt.
Mahlasela has been without a club after the demise of Royal AM towards the end of last season.
The 34-year-old has also featured for clubs such as Polokwane City FC, Bloemfontein Celtic and Royal Eagles.
This publication has established that Mahlasela touched down in Polokwane this week and began training with Magesi FC on Thursday.

Mahlasela worked with coach John Maduka during his time at Royal AM, where the latter had two stints as a head coach.
He will be hoping to impress the technical team before the league resumes after the FIFA international break.

JOHN MADUKA REMAINS POSITIVE ABOUT TURNING THE CORNER DESPITE SLOW START
Magesi have not had a good start to the 2025/26 season under the guidance of the Malawian mentor. They have won just one and lost four of their opening five matches of the season.
But Maduka is positive that the fortunes will change once they start converting their goal-scoring chances.
“You were here when we played Stellenbosch. We had a good game as well, and it was a game that was supposed to be won with good chances,โ he said.
โIt’s a work in progress, and the boys are getting better and better. They are trying their best. So we just need to start scoring because there is no game where we never get chances. All the games that we played, we created chances. So what we need now is to convert those chances into goals. So once we do that, I think we will be able to win games”
Magesiโs first match after the FIFA international break will be away to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday, 17 September.
