Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town City FC confirmed the acquisition of Burundian midfielder Jospin Nshimirimana.
The 23-year-old Nshimirimana joins the Citizens from AS Kigali FC, a top-tier Rwandan club. He arrived at AS Kigali in January 2025 after a stint with fellow Rwanda Premier League side SC Kiyovu Sports.
This signing marks the seventh new addition for CT City in the current transfer window. The club is clearly committed to strengthening its squad and building a team capable of securing automatic promotion back to the Betway Premiership following their relegation last campaign.
So far, CT City has already secured the services of the former Al Ahly striker Walter Bwalya, who was unveiled five days ago. They have also roped in former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Sifiso Ngobeni and ex-Kaizer Chiefs duo Njabulo Ngcobo and Keagan Dolly.
In addition, the Jan Vreman-coached team signed two Dutch internationals: goalkeeper Mickey van der Hart and forward Simon van Duivenbooden.
Meanwhile, the club also decided to recall Lorenzo Gordinho, who is the new captain of the team. Luca Diana-Oliaro, who plays as a goalkeeper, signed a new long-term contract with CT City.
