Durban City delivered a convincing performance to beat Siwelele FC 2-0, as Chippa United finally secured a win in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.

Durban City FC entered the match eager to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Sekhukhune United before the international break. Their opponents, Siwelele FC, drew 0-0 with Richards Bay in their previous match.

As such, both teams came into the match rejuvenated, hoping to collect maximum points. But Durban City had the upper hand in the opening exchanges at the Chatsworth Stadium.

Deservedly, they grabbed the lead after 42 minutes of play through new signing Letsie Koapeng, who poked the ball home from close range.

They led going into the halftime break. The Citizens doubled the score on the 52nd minute mark through Trevor Bokang Mokwena.

CHIPPA UNITED FINALLY GET IT RIGHT WITH A WIN OVER ORBIT COLLEGE FC

At the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium, Chippa United beat hapless Orbit College FC to record their first win of the season.

Simply put, this was a battle of strugglers as both teams occupied the last two positions on the Betway Premiership table before the clash.

Ahead of this match, Chippa United were anchored in the 16th position, as they struggled to click the right chords in the first five matches, forcing them to make raft coaching changes.

They collected a single point from their draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in their season opener, followed by four defeats. On the other hand, Orbit College FC were 15th on the table with three points after one win in five matches.

Determined to change their fortunes, Chippa United scored after 36 minutes via winger Xolani Sithole. And they led 1-0 at half-time.

The Chilli Boys doubled their lead after 82 minutes through Eswatini star Justice Figuareido. Siyabulela Mabele scored the Mswenko Boys’ consolation goal in additional time, but it was not enough to help salvage a point for them.

As a result, they moved into 14th place, with four points on their tally. Meanwhile, Orbit College FC now anchors the log table, while Magesi FC is in 15th position.
