Bienvenue Eva Nga is back at Chippa United following a short-lived stint at Italian Serie D side Portogruaro Calcio.
The 32-year-old forward has returned for a third spell at the Chilli Boys, and coach Luc Eymael has welcomed the player, who has previously turned out for Wits University and Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership.
He is at Chipp, where he scored three goals in 25 league appearances last season, including 20 starts. The Gqeberha outfit is yet to officially announce Eva Nga’s return, but a source told FARPost that the Cameroonian asked to be released by Portogruaro Calcio and headed straight for Chippa.
Before going to Italy, Eva Nga was linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
“Chippa wants him back, and the coach knows a lot about him,” a source confirmed to FARPost.
“He believes he can be effective and contribute a lot this coming season. Let’s wait for a deal to be concluded but it looks good for both parties. He will be here until the end of the season.”
THE SHORT STINT AT PORTOGRUARO CALCIO

After leaving Chippa in July, Eva Nga lasted just two months in Italy, and that is the shortest time he has stayed at a club in his professional career.
Seemingly frustrated after not playing for the Serie A side amir documentation issues, Eva Nga opted to come back to Africa.
The return to the Premier Soccer League marks another turn in the striker’s career as he struggles to settle himself at a club he turns out for.
At his age, the Chippa move could prove to be his last big move unless he turns himself into a high scorer in the PSL.
He joins the Gqeberha side, who are yet 14th on the PSL table with four points after a win, a draw and four defeats in campaign so far.
That might put weight on Eva Nga to help Eymael’s men lift themselves up in what is a difficult season for them.
