Another former Yanga SC league title-winning coach is now on the verge of being fired from his North African club. Just this week, Kaizer Chiefs announced that they were engaged in talks with their coach, Nasreddine Nabi.

Although the clubโ€™s statement did not specify the details of the talks, FARPost can reveal that the two parties are negotiating the coachโ€™s departure.

Nabi is in his second season with Amakhosi, having led them to their first trophy [the 2025 Nedbank Cup] in a decade. But with relations between the Tunisian and Chiefs management sour, the 60-year-old now looks set to leave the club.

WHICH EX-YANGA COACH IS FACING THE SACK IN NORTH AFRICA

In North Africa, another coach who guided Yanga SC to the league title last season, Miloud Hamdi, is currently under pressure at the Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily SC. The Algerian-French mentor joined Ismaily after a brief but successful tenure with Young Africans, where he succeeded Sead Ramovic. Ramovic had dumped the Jangwani giants abruptly to take up an offer from CR Belouizdad.

In his 148 days at Yanga SC, he guided Yanga in 13 games, winning 12 of them and drawing once. He also won the CRDB FA Cup and the newly introduced Muungano Cup.

However, he has not had good fortune in Egypt, where he signed a one-year deal. Ismaily are sitting at the bottom of the log standings in 20th place.

With five losses, one win, and one draw, the club is now considering his future, and it doesnโ€™t look good for him.
The club barely survived relegation last season, only managing 23 points out of a possible 114 in the 20-team league. They had hoped for a change of fortunes this season, but the bad start has cast doubt.
