Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria has secured the services of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Ntando Nkosi on loan.
FARPost understands that the 21-year-old, who was at CHAN recently, will spend the 2025/26 season on loan at AmaTuks. Tuks head coach Kwanele Kopo is an admirer of Nkosi, who has been training with AmaTuks but has yet to make his official debut for the club.
He arrived at the lower-tier side having been with the Sundowns first team since 2021, although he spent most of his time playing for their DStv Diski Challenge side. The midfielder was seen to be in the same class as Sundowns youngsters like Siyabonga Mabena, Kutlwano Letlhaku and Malibongwe Khoza.
After struggling to enjoy first-team football regularly, especially last season under Miguel Cardoso, the Heidelberg-born central midfielder has been loaned out for more playing opportunities. Despite not yet featuring for AmaTuks, he is pushing to make himself a key man in Kopoโs squad and impress his parent club, Sundowns.
Enjoying more game time might see Nkosi impressing the Brazilians and return at Chloorkop to fight for his place in the first team next season.

DIFFICULT TO PLAY AHEAD OF MORE EXPERIENCED DOWNS STARS
When he burst onto the scene, Nkosi was promising and expected to establish himself as a regular in no time, but he has found it challenging to earn more playing time.
A central midfielder and more offensive, Nkosi faced competition in the star-studded Masandawa squad. He had to contend for playing minutes with the likes of captain Themba Zwane, Marcello Allende, Jayden Adams, Sphelele Mkhulise and new signing Tsiki Ntsabeleng.
At AmaTuks, he joins another Sundowns loanee, Siyanda Msani, who will also spend this season at the Tshwane side.ย
