South African midfielder Ethan Brooks has signed for Greek side Panserraikos FC on a free transfer following his departure from the Betway Premiership club, AmaZulu FC.
Brooks has been without a club since July 2025 after he cut ties with the KwaZulu-Natal side, Usuthu. Panserraikos compete in Super League 1 in Greece.
The 23-year-old talented central midfielder was unveiled by Panserraikos on Monday night. He joins the club on a two-year deal.
Last season, Brooks made 25 appearances for AmaZulu across all competitions, scoring one goal and weighing in with an assist.
In addition, Brooks has over 10 caps for the South African men’s national football team, Bafana Bafana.
He made his international debut for Bafana on 10 June 2021. This was during the friendly match against Uganda, which Bafana won with a 3-2 scoreline.

PANSERRAIKOS FC’S OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ETHAN BROOKS’ ACQUISITION
The Greece club welcomed Brooks with open arms and expressed their delight to have secured the services of the former TS Galaxy star.
“Panserraikos FC announces the start of its partnership with international footballer Ethan Brooks, who signed a two-year contract with our team and will wear the jersey with the lion on his chest,” said the club in a statement.
“The South African footballer is born on 01/03/2001, he is 1.75 tall and plays as an average, and this is the first time he will play outside his country.
“Brooks had been playing for Amazulu FC since 2022 having 83 appearances, 2 goals and 3 assists, earlier on he was playing for TS Galaxy having 39 appearances.
“He made his debut in the National team in 2021 and has 11 appearances. Ethan, welcome to the lion family.”
With this move, Brooks will be aiming to make his way back to the national team after being sidelined by head coach Hugo Broos.ย
