Premier Soccer League [PSL] prosecutor Zola Majavu has issued an update regarding the DC matter involving Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards.
Leopards’ start to the new 2025/26 season has been marred by the transfer ban, which has resulted in them not utilising new players.
This saw Lidoda Duvha play their first match of the season with 10 players, nine on-field and a makeshift goalkeeper in former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thendo Mukumela.
Leopards have also not been able to meet the required number of five Under-23 players in their opening three matches.
The club faced two DC matters after protests from AmaTuks as well as newcomers Lerumo Lions. Both clubs played against the Limpopo club under protest.
LEOPARDS RESOLVE PLAYER REGISTRATION ISSUES
However, FARPost can confirm that the club played their match against Leicesterford City FC with a full squad and the required number of underage players. This is after the club utilised players from their feeder side, which is permitted.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Majavu confirmed that the club appeared before the DC on the very same day in the afternoon.
“With regards to the first matter pertaining to the University of Pretoria, Black Leopards pleaded guilty,” said Majavu.
PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE DC FIND BLACK LEOPARDS GUILTY
“After the evidence was led and having listened to all the submissions, the DC found them guilty. With regard to sanctions, they were afforded a period of 14 days to make their own sanctions before a final sanction could be made against them.
โWith regard to the second case pertaining to Lerumo Lions, they requested that the matter be postponed and it be enrolled before a differently constituted DC panel. That request was not opposed by me, and it was subsequently granted.”
