TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has shared an update on former Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge captain Ntando Nkosi’s readiness for senior team football and his future.
Frustrated by limited first-team opportunities at Chiefs, Nkosi moved to Galaxy.
However, his start has been challenging, with only two substitute appearances in nine games across all competitions for the Rockets in the SA top-flight.
Beganovic has provided his perspective on the young midfielder’s progress. Interestingly, the Bosnian coach revealed that he had a conversation with the 20-year-old defensive midfielder about his progress.
WHAT BEGANOVIC SAID ABOUT NTANDO NKOSI’S PROGRESS
“I like to work with young players,” responded Beganovic when asked by FARPost during the Carling Knockout Cup . “When we choose young players to bring into our club, we talk about that, we watch the videos and then when we decide.”

He suggested that the former Amakhosi youth player needed time to adapt to the top league, emphasising that he possesses the necessary quality.
“When we decided to bring him here, we were sure he had the quality. However, with young players transitioning from the DDC league to a professional or senior league, some players require a little more time to adapt and recognise the difference between the two leagues.”
He revealed that he had a conversation with the player on Wednesday, and he is confident the player, who will turn 21 next month, will come round. Beganovic pointed out the qualities Nkosi possesses.
“And I want to say I spoke with him yesterday, and I’m sure soon he can come where he belongs. And then to catch some game time. In the future, we count on him a lot because he has a quality like a number six, like a midfield player.
“I’m so happy with how he understands the game, how he plays fast up front. He doesn’t want to keep the ball for too long and play wide. He straight plays. And I think he can be a good player for Galaxy in the future.”
