Former PSL defender Rushine De Reuck has offered insight into his quick integration at Tanzanian giants Simba SC, particularly after scoring his second goal of the season on Wednesday evening, demonstrating his successful transition to the club.

De Reuck scored Simba’s second goal, from a Neo Maema assist, during the 3-0 win against Namungo at in the Tanzanian Premier League at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadiumย in Dar es Salaam.

De Reuck has been impressive since making his debut for the club and has since cemented a regular starting position.

The 29-year-old was voted Man of the Match for his performances on Wednesday. The goal against Namungo was his second of the season. ย He also found the net in the in the game against Fountain Gate FC in Simba’s season opener.

“It could have gone to anyone. There are a lot of players who put up their hands for Man of the Match,” he told Simba TV.

“I think they did quite well. But I am the one they selected, and I am very happy and proud.”

The former Mamelodi Sundowns player is also a joint top goal scorer in the league after two matches.

“When I came here and you told me I would be a top goal scorer after two games, I wouldn’t believe that,” he said.

“The secret is hard work. You know I am very focused, I want to help the team,” he said “I know this club has a lot of potential, and obviously, if I want to be a big part of it, it’s going to take a lot of hard work and focus from me.

“So that’s what I am trying to do at the moment, and so far so good. With time, it will get better. I have only been here for two months, so it’s going to take time. But so far so good,” he added.
