Bafana defender Samukele Kabini played 90 minutes as Molde FK lost 2-1 to Kristiansund on Saturday. He was yellow-carded in the match played at Nordmøre Stadium.
In the England Championship, Luke Le Roux was an unused substitute as Portsmouth beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at Fratton Park on Saturday.

ANTONIO VAN WYK ON TARGET FOR SV RIED IN THE AUSTRIAN BUNDESLIGA

In Austria, Antonio van Wyk was on target as SV Ried beat WSG Tirol 2-0 at the Keine Sorgen Arena on Saturday. Mark Giovanni Grobe opened the scores for the team after 15 minutes via a penalty.
And the SA star, Van Wyk doubled their advantage on the 80th minute. In this match, former Kaizer Chiefs star Yusuf Maart played 90 minutes while Van Wyk lasted for 88 minutes.
Meanwhile, SA coach Bradley Carnell continues carving a niche in the Major League Soccer [MLS] at Philadelphia Union.
Philadelphia Union cemented their place on top of the MLS Eastern Conference after a 1-0 win over New York City FC at Subaru Park. The win helped them secure the 2025 Supporters’ Shield. Mikael Uhre’s first-half strike was the difference for Carnell’s side.

JAMIE WEBBER SHINES IN THE USL CHAMPIONSHIP
In the USL Championship, Jamie Webber was on fire as he helped FC Tulsa reach the 2025 USL Championship Playoffs. Webber stepped up and notched a brace as they beat Lexington SC 3-0 at ONEOK Field on Saturday.
He received the Man of the Match award. Webber scored his first goal after 40 minutes with a beautiful free-kick from range. And he completed his brace on the 88th minute. Giordano Colli scored the other goal.
Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs center-back Siyabonga Ngezana played the entire match as FCSB beat Universitatea Craiova 1-0 in a Romanian SuperLiga tie. The match was played at the Arena Națională on Sunday night.
In addition, Shandre Campbell was an unused substitute as Belgian giants Club Brugge beat Union Saint-Gilloise 1-0 on Sunday at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
In Tanzania, Simba SC, which is home to Rushine De Reuck and Neo Maema was not in action over the weekend. They were in action on Wednesday when they beat Namungo 3-0 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.
Thembinkosi Lorch put up a brilliant performance for Wydad Casablanca on Friday, scoring a goal and providing an assist as they beat COD Meknes 3-1 at the Honor Stadium. Lorch has scored two goals this season.
Both De Reuck and Maema were in action, with the former walking away with the Man of the Match Award. Additionally, Sphephelo Sithole played 90 minutes as CD Tondela lost 3-0 to Rio Ave on Sunday at the Estadio dos Arcos.
RULANI MOKWENA MAINTAINS GOOD RUN IN ALGERIA

Furthermore, ex-Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena kept his good run in Algeria after leading MC Alger to a narrow 1-0 win over ES Mostaganem. The match was played at the Ali La Pointe Stadium on Saturday.
MC Alger has played four matches, where they won three times and drew once. They are fifth on the table with ten points and three games in hand. In Morocco, Fadlu Davids’ Raja CA played out to a 1-1 draw with MAS Fès at Stade Mohammed V on Friday.
The Saudi Arabia based duo of Mohau Nkota and Elias Mokwana were not in action this weekend. Both their teams, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Hazem Saudi Club, will resume action on 17 October after the international break.
Defender Ime Okon remains sidelined due to a thigh injury that has also seen him ruled out of Bafana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Rwanda. However, his team Hannover 96 settled for a 2-2 draw with Fürth at the Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer stadium on Saturday.
