Marumo Gallants continue to make West Africa their hunting ground for talent after bringing in two more players from that part of the continent.

The new signings join Burkina Faso international midfielder Ibrahim Bance who also holds Ivorian citizenship and centre-back defender Eroine Agnikoi, from Ivory Coast as well.

Bance and Agnikoi made triumphant debuts for Marumo Gallants in the Carling Knockout Cup Round of 16 match against Mamelodi Sundowns. They immediately made a statement with solid performances, frustrating the Betway Premiership champions.

Having played in Sweden and USA before, 24-year-old Bance has also previously worked with Balabane ba Ntwa coach Alexandre Lafitte at Stade d’Abidjan. Agnikoi is also a former Stade d’Abidjan player and is 19.

One of Lafitte’s latest acquisitions is striker Mofosse Karidioula Tresor, a former Asec Mimosas player who has also had a short stint in Egypt.

“We’re delighted to welcome Mofosse Karidioula Trésor, a talented forward from Ivory Coast, to Marumo Gallants FC! A powerful and skilful attacker, ready to make an impact and strengthen our offensive force in Bloemfontein,” the club announced.

Also arriving at Gallants is Togolese-Ghanaian-Liberian forward Evanonye Kossi Adetu, whose last club was Egyptian second-tier side Raya SC, having also had spells in Cyprus and Libya.

“We’re excited to officially welcome Evanonye Kossi Adetu, a dynamic forward from Ghana, to Marumo Gallants FC! With his attacking flair and hunger for goals, he’s ready to light up Bloemfontein and bring energy to our frontline,” Gallants confirmed.

The West Africans join at least 11 other new signings who made Gallants one of the busiest teams in the transfer market. Those players to arrive in Mangaung include notable figures like former Orlando Pirates stars Ndabayithetha Ndlondlo and Ktlego Otladisa who return to the club.

Balabane ba Ntwa have already avoided defeat by Sundowns twice this season, while beating Orlando Pirates and frustrating Kaizer Chiefs. The latest reinforcements could be a statement of intent to seriously fight for major trophies.
