Ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Black Leopards midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has signed for SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Makotopong Bahumi FC for the 2025/26 season.

Bahumi FC recently got promoted to the South African third-tier league alongside Phalaborwa United from SAFA Capricorn and SAFA Mopani, respectively. This comes after their success in the regional provincial playoffs, which took place in August this year.

Ntshangase joins the Makotopong-based outfit following his stint with Sunrise FC, which is currently facing expulsion from the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.

However, Sunrise are challenging the decision as they have laid their grievance in court regarding their imminent expulsion from the amateur league. The arbitration for this matter will be heard on the 22nd of October.

In addition, Sunrise interdicted the Ramatlaohle United and University of Limpopo’s Nedbank Cup qualification match, which was supposed to be played this past Sunday at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane.

SIPHELELE NTSHANGASE HITS THE GROUND RUNNING AT MAKOTOPONG BAHUMI FC

The former Baroka FC attacking midfielder was part of The Tycoons squad over the weekend when they participated in the Nedbank Cup preliminary stage.

Unfortunately, Bahumi FC succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Mohlabile United in the Nedbank Cup qualification phase. The showdown took place at the Seshego Stadium outside Polokwane.

As a result, the newly promoted Motsepe League side will now shift its full focus to the league, which is set to roar to life in due course.

The 32-year-old’s experience in the Betway Premiership and the Motsepe Foundation Championship is expected to benefit the amateur team. It will assist them in securing the league title and qualifying for the SAFA ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs, aiming for promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
