TS Galaxy sign Nigerian goalkeeper

Kayode Bankole with TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi

Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy has continued to strengthen its squad for the ongoing 2025/26 PSL season with the acquisition of Nigerian goalkeeper Kayode Bankole.

The shot-stopper was announced by the Mpumalanga club on Friday, 17 October 2025. He joins the Rockets on a free transfer.

Bankole has been without a club since August 2025 after cutting ties with Remo Stars FC in Nigeria. In the last campaign, he made over eight appearances for Remo.

The 23-year-old goal-minder will be competing for the number one position with Ira Tapé and Nkosingabele Madela at Galaxy.

KAYODE BANKOLE BECOMES THE 16TH SIGNING FOR TS GALAXY THIS SEASON

Bankole becomes the 16th signing for the Adnan Beganovic-coached side in the current campaign, as the club aims to finish in a better position in the South African top-flight.

Galaxy have been busy in the market, having acquired the services of players like Onke Moletshe, Siyabonga Nguessan, Sedwyn George, Anslin Williams, Matome Mmolai, Mzwandile Dlamini and Veluyeke Zulu. Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi, Hopewell Cele, Junior Zindonga, Mory Keita, Mpumelelo Ndaba, Patrick Fisher, Mehdi Ouamri, and Salatiel Silva complete the list.

Meanwhile, Galaxy welcomed Bankole with open arms and described him as “a true game-changer,” as they believe he will add value to their goalkeeping department.

“Welcome to the family, Kayode Bankole! A commanding presence between the posts and a true game-changer joins our ranks,” said the club in a statement. “We can’t wait to see you showcase your talent and passion on the big stage!”
