Orlando Pirates have issued an injury update on highly-rated winger Relebohile Mofokeng, right-back Deano van Rooyen, and experienced centre-back Tapelo Xoki.
The Buccaneers are gearing up for a Betway Premiership clash against Polokwane City FC at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday night.
Pirates are looking to return to winning ways after suffering a shock 3-0 defeat against DR Congo side FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the first-leg of the CAF Champions League Second Preliminary Round in Lubumbashi this past weekend.
Abdeslam Ouaddou and his charges aim to put the disappointing results behind them and collect maximum points in a crucial clash against Rise and Shine.
In a trip to the DRC, Pirates missed the services of Mofokeng, who has been a key figure in the club’s recent form that saw them go 11 matches in all competitions without a defeat.
The 20-year-old star picked up an injury just before the FIFA international break, which saw him also miss the Bafana Bafana’s World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Rwanda a few days ago.
WILL MOFOKENG BE AVAILABLE FOR THE POLOKWANE CITY MATCH?

On Tuesday via a statement, Pirates revealed that Mofokeng is likely to miss the home encounter against Polokwane City as his still nursing an injury.
Meanwhile, the Sea Robbers also confirmed that van Rooyen remains out with an injury alongside Xoki, who got injured in an accident with other staff members last month.
“Pirates could strengthen their position in third place with another win that could see them pull away from the rest of the five teams currently tied on 15 points,” reads the club’s statement.
“They could still be without attacking midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng, who sat out the trip to West Africa, along with the likes of Deano van Rooyen and Tapelo Xoki, who have both been on the sidelines over the past few weeks.”
