Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster has opened up after netting Burnley’s winning goal in the 95th minute against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Foster, who had only returned from an injury setback, was introduced in the second half. He had been missing in action since sustaining an injury while on national team duty in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The 25-year-old came in when the score was 2-2 at the Molineux Stadium. This is after former Orlando Pirates player Marshall Munetsi had equalised for the home side.
HOW LYLE FOSTER FELT ABOUT NETTING THE WINNER FOR BURNLEY ON SUNDAY
“I feel amazing, but I am happier for the team, I think we deserved it,” Foster told the Burnley YouTube channel.
“Especially going two goals up with the performances we showed. I was just blessed to be able to score the winner, but it’s an amazing feeling, and I am more than happy for the boys.”

It was Foster’s second goal of the season since their return to the Premiership at the beginning of the season.
“Amazing to score infront of the away fans and get them cheering. It was good to get the three points, and I feel like the boys deserved it after the start we had to the season,” he added.
“I think we haven’t had luck on our side, losing games in the last minutes, and it’s nice to finally win one in the last minute, yeah.
“It’s nice to win away from home, very nice as home is our fortress, and I think we have shown that it’s a place where we can be able to get points, but being able to take from the outside helps a lot as well. It helps us with confidence and helps our journey back home.”
