TS Galaxy’s talented winger, Puso Dithejane, didn’t need many words to address the speculation surrounding a possible return to his boyhood club, Kaizer Chiefs; his brief response was packed with meaning.
After a dramatic departure from Amakhosi, Dithejane has flourished at Galaxy, sparking speculation about a potential return to Naturena.
The 21-year-old, who came through Amakhosi’s development system, also clarified the circumstances of his exit, including the partially true reports about his refusal to be a ball boy. FARPost has it on record that his departure was related to a disciplinary issue and not merely the ball boy matter.
Dithejane was speaking to the media at a TS Galaxy Carling Knockout open day in Johannesburg ahead of their quarter-final against Golden Arrows. “The things which you read about have a bit of both truth and lies,” Dithejane said. “It’s true we refused to be ball boys. We tried to negotiate with the team that they should use other players because we had a game the next day… they didn’t agree to that.”

He stated that the club saw their refusal as a sign of disrespect. “They said that we don’t respect the team. We had a meeting, and they released us.”
FOCUSED ON TS GALAXY BUT OPEN TO CHIEFS RETURN
When initially asked about a possible return to Naturena, the Rustenburg-born player insisted that his immediate focus remains with the Rockets. “For now, I cannot talk about that. For now, I am at TS Galaxy, I am playing for TS Galaxy, and I am focused at TS Galaxy,” Dithejane stated. “For those transfer issues, I will deal with them when the transfer window opens again.”
However, when pressed further on the issue, specifically if he would consider the option should the Amakhosi come calling, he offered a clear, affirmative reply. “If the chance is there, then yeah,” he confirmed.
Since leaving the Kaizer Chiefs DDC side in 2023, the winger has established himself as a star at TS Galaxy, recording an impressive 18 goal contributions [six goals and 12 assists] in 61 appearances.
In his most recent display on Sunday against Golden Arrows in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals, he walked away with the Man of the Match award. But his efforts were not enough as Galaxy lost 2-1
