The PSL has finalised the draw for the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup following the conclusion of the quarter-final matches on Wednesday, 29 October.
The draw was conducted at the end of the Marumo Gallants and Stellenbosch FC encounter and was broadcast live on SuperSport Channel 202 and SABC Sport.
The electrifying quarter-final clashes kicked off on Saturday, 25 October, as Richards Bay FC secured the KZN derby bragging rights after defeating Durban City FC 3-1 at Umhlathuze Sports Complex, becoming the first team to book a semi-final spot.
On Sunday, 26 October, another KZN club cruised their way into the tournament’s last four, with Golden Arrows getting the better of TS Galaxy 2-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The last two matches of the Carling Knockout were played during the midweek. Orlando Pirates went head-to-head with the defending champions, Magesi FC, at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday, 28 October. This showdown ended in a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the Buccaneers.
The Soweto giants’ supporters were happy to have gotten their revenge for what transpired last campaign when Dikwena Tsa Meetse eliminated Pirates in the Round of 16, succumbing to a 3-2 defeat at home.
Meanwhile, the last game of the quarter-finals saw Gallants beat Stellenbosch 4-0. The game took place at the Dr. Molemela Stadium.

a) The semi-final draw were unseeded in accordance with Carling Knockout competition rules.
b) All four club names were placed in a single bowl for the draw.
c) The first ball drawn represented the home team for the first fixture. The second ball represented the away team. This process was repeated to confirm the second fixture.
