Richards Bay FC have issued an explanation to their supporters following the decision to take their Carling Knockout Cup semi-final clash against Orlando Pirates to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The Natal Rich Boys will take on the Buccaneers in the first semi-final on Saturday, 8 November at 15:00.
The second semi-final will be between Golden Arrows and Marumo Gallants at King Zwelithini the following day.
However, the club, who play its home matches at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay, will now have to play the game in Durban.
RICHARDS BAY TO ARRANGE TRANSPORT FOR THEIR FANS AFTER VENUE SHIFT
In a statement issued on Friday, the club explained to its supporters that the decision to move the match was made by the PSL and the sponsors. However, the club has also made travel arrangements for their supporters.
“Premier Soccer League has confirmed the date, venue and time for the Carling Knockout Semi-final as Saturday 08 November 2025, 15h00 at Moses Mabhida in Durban. Richards Bay Football Club would like the supporters to note that the cup games are fully arranged by Premier Soccer League and the sponsor has the prerogative on the venue,” the club said.

“The Club will make all the necessary arrangements for the supporters who want to attend the match on the day. All the arrangements will be communicated by next Wednesday on all our social media platforms.”
Out of the four teams in the last four, Richards Bay are the only side yet to win a trophy in the PSL era. Marumo Gallants won the Nedbank Cup in 2020, just after purchasing the status from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
Meanwhile, the League has also opened up the ticket sales for both the matches taking place in KwaZulu-Natal.
