Pirates & Co. learn Carling Knockout semi-finals fixture details

Orlando Pirates, Carling Knockout

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed the dates and venues of the upcoming Carling Knockout semi-finals.

Orlando Pirates, Golden Arrows, Richards Bay and Marumo Gallants are in the last four of the Beer Cup. Having already won a major trophy this season when they lifted the MTN8, the Buccaneers are bidding for another piece of silverware before the year 2025 ends.

They now face the Natal Rich Boyz in the Carling Knockout semi-finals and this is the team that eliminated them in the quarter-final round of this competition in 2023.ย

That would inspire Richards Bay to upset the Soweto giants again. Arrows and Gallants complete their other semi-final pairing.ย

โ€œThe action kicks off on Saturday, 8 November 2025, when Richards Bay FC take on Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban,โ€ the PSL announced in a statement.

โ€œThe following day, Sunday, 9 November 2025, Lamontville Golden Arrows will go head-to-head with Marumo Gallants at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.ย ย

โ€œBoth fixtures will kick off at 15h00, ensuring convenient travel for spectators attending the matches.โ€

Pirates are serial Cup winners, but have clinched the Carling Knockout just once in 2011, when it was titled the Telkom Knockout Cup, while finishing as runners-up eight times. Arrows’ only major piece of silverware is the 2009 MTN8.ย

Kaizer Chiefs are the record Carling Knockout winners with 13 titles, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns who have won it four times.ย
