Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has provided an update on suspended coach Dan Malesela’s appearance before the Disciplinary Committee. The club suspended Malesela two weeks ago after a string of poor results that left it languishing at the bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Despite Malesela being only in suspension, the club has moved swiftly to appoint new head coach Tlisane Motaung. The former University of Pretoria coach is being assisted by Matsemela Thoka, who is also on his second stint at the club.
The pair started their reign with two back-to-back defeats against Hungry Lions and Upington City last week. Despite the poor start, Mphahlele has maintained that the club can still turn the corner and eventually gain promotion to the Betway Premiership.
