Ex-Orlando Pirates midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu has expressed his intention to find himself in the Bafana Bafana squad following his return to the Betway Premiership in the colours of Magesi FC.
Zungu signed for the Limpopo club in August this year on a free transfer, as the John Maduka-coached side saw a need to strengthen its midfield options for the current campaign.
The 29-year-old’s move to Dikwena Tsa Meetse came after the sale of the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Pretoria Callies, a team he was previously playing for last season. Callies sold its PSL status to Lerumo Lions FC from the North West province.
Since the arrival of the gifted attacking midfielder at Magesi, he has featured in 10 matches across all competitions for the 2024/25 Carling Knockout Cup champions in the ongoing season.
He has put in some good displays for Magesi, including a Man of the Match performance in their 2-1 win over TS Galaxy last month at Seshego Stadium.

NKANYISO ZUNGU DISCLOSES WHAT HE IS HOPING TO ACHIEVE THIS SEASON
In an interview with this publication, Zungu clearly defined his aspirations for the current season, with earning a Bafana Bafana call-up sitting high on his priority list, according to an exclusive interview with this website.
The former Pirates midfielder further stated that he is focused on helping Magesi FC avoid relegation from the Betway Premiership. He asserted that their current position on the league table [15th place] is not a true reflection of the team’s quality and performance.
“I just want to see myself playing for the national team. Looking at my current form, I am playing regularly and have found my mojo back,” Zungu told FARPost.
“Also, I want to help my team be on top and move out of the relegation zone, because we don’t deserve to be in that position. Those are my dreams.
“I truly wish to see myself becoming a better person, taking my career to another level, and forgetting the past.”
