FARPost has established that the futures of Tebogo Langerman, Lantshene Phalane, Thato Mokeke and Mothusi Gopane remain uncertain at Baroka FC after the quartet were ‘excused’ from the first team.
Baroka got back to winning ways in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after a 3-1 victory against Cape Town City FC on Sunday, with the four players in the matchday squad.
Before that match, the Limpopo side had been struggling to secure positive results as they were on a five-match losing streak.
This also resulted in the suspension of head coach Dan Malesela, who is set to appear before a DC next week. The victory saw newly appointed coach Tlisane Motaung collect his first three points after losing his first two games.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE FOUR PLAYERS AT BAROKA FC?
This publication has gathered that the four players were informed that their futures with the senior team were no longer secured.
They were subsequently instructed to take different roles at Barokaโs feeder team, which participates in the SAFA Hollywoodbets Promotional League.

Both Langerman and Phalane were assigned roles in the technical team, while both Mokeke and Gapane were due to form part of the playing personnel.
However, it appears that Mokeke and Gapane have declined the move and could soon terminate their services at the club. It remains unclear if Langerman and Phalane will follow the same route or will remain at the club.
MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE LETS GO OF THEIR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS
Langerman, 39, only joined Baroka a month ago after a stint at SAFA ABC Motsepe League side Sunrise FC. On the other hand, Mokeke, 35, also sealed the move to the club at the beginning of the season.
In addition, Gopane joined the club in the middle of last season from ABC Motsepe League side Mighty FC, while Phalane, 35, joined at the beginning of last season.
