Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has confirmed a second Amakhosi player will join Mduduzi Shabalala on national duty during the upcoming FIFA break.
Shabalala is already widely tipped to make the Bafana Bafana squad set to face Zambia on November 14th in an international friendly.
The two Chiefs players will now swap their club jerseys for national team colours before the Amakhosi resume their CAF Confederation group stage campaign with an away trip to Egyptโs Al Masr.
The players head into the international window following a dominant 4-1 victory over Orbit College at the FNB Stadium. Shabalala delivered a star performance in front of national team coach Hugo Broos, scoring twice and providing two assists. ย The other goals came from Mfundo Vilakazi and Flavio Da Silva. This win marks the Chiefsโ third straight victory, following earlier wins against AS Simba [3-1] and Durban City FC [1-0].

WHICH CHIEFS PLAYER HAS BEEN CALLED TO THEIR NATIONAL TEAM
In-form striker Da Silva, who has scored four goals in five games, has been called up to the Guinea-Bissau national team. The lanky forward has only started one game and is proving his critics wrong.
โAbout the players that are going to the national team โฆ. Flavio Silva also got a call-up from the national team,โ Kaze revealed. โThey play a friendly game against Angola, I believe. He has been called up. Itโs very good for him, for the team. And he’s a player who is getting his confidence back. He’s in a good moment.โ
Kaze believes the call-up shows that the club did their homework when recruiting the striker. He added: โWhen a foreigner gets a call-up, you know you have done well with your homework in terms of recruitment.โ
