Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba has expressed strong confidence that two of his standout players possess the necessary quality to earn a call-up to the South African national team, Bafana Bafana.
Under Broos, Bafana Bafana has enjoyed a notable resurgence since 2021, securing back-to-back AFCON qualifications, a bronze medal in the 2024 edition, and, most recently, a hard-fought qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This return to glory has significantly intensified the competition for spots in the national team squad. As players across the league raise their game to catch Broosโ attention, Mngqithi is keen to ensure his talented Arrows players are not overlooked.
This comes after Arrows have enjoyed a strong run of form under coach Mngqithi this season, a resurgence largely fueled by consistent individual brilliance within the squad.

The most noticeable figure inspiring this success is midfielder Siyanda Ndlovu. The 23-year-old has made a significant mark, securing crucial victories for the team through a consistent stream of goals and assists.
For Mngqithi, the skilful midfielder is his number one pick among the players he believes have earned the right to represent the senior national team, Bafana Bafana.

โOver my head I think Ndlovu has been very good. He is probably having his best season in both creating and scoring. Working very hard and very important in the resurgence of our team,โ said Mngqithi.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach further alluded to midfielder Nqubeko Dlamini. He described him as a perfect fit for Hugo Broosโ desired midfield profile.
โNqubeko Dlamini, a left-footed midfielder who covers on average 14 kilometres per match. Technically, he has a pass percentage of more than 90% completion. You will start thinking maybe he deserves an opportunity,โ added Mngqithi.
โPhysically, he works very hard, he is a strong boy, and he is the type of player that the national team would need.โ
Despite their impressive form, both Ndlovu and Dlamini have been omitted from Bafanaโs squad for the upcoming friendly against Zambia on 15 November 2025 in Gqeberha.
