Former Chippa United coach Morgan Mammila has revealed to FARPost that he officially remains part of the club and has accepted the latest working conditions.
Mammila has served in different roles at the Chilli Boys, including as sporting director, head coach, and assistant coach.
This includes the current season, where Mammila served as an assistant coach to Musa Nyatama following the departure of Sinethemba Badela.
In a statement issued last month, the Betway Premiership side had announced the departure of the administrator-turned-coach along with the likes of Luc Eymael and Sly Mosala.
MORGAN MAMMILA REVEALS HIS NEW WORKING CONDITIONS AT CHIPPA UNITED
However, Mammila has since confirmed to this publication that he remains part of the club, although he has been asked to work from home.
“I was asked by the club if I can work from home until the contract ends on 30 June 2026. So I accepted that with both hands,” he told FARPost.

“I have been in professional football for so many years. So I think this is a good break for me. Itโs time for me to be with my family. You can see the PSL this season is on another level.
“Itโs also good that it’s time for me to learn, to see if there are teams that have improved or are building from nothing. Especially looking at Manqoba [Mngqithi], what he is doing there [at Golden Arrows]. I think I am learning a lot in terms of what he is doing there,” Mammila added.
WHY THE ADMINISTRATOR-TURNED-COACH IS NOT LOOKING FOR A JOB
“So, for me, I achieved by just being given this kind of opportunity to work from home. I am not going to look for anything because this club is paying me very well. So I will be at home until 30 June 2026, focusing on my family and learning.
โI think itโs also fair because the club is under new management, and itโs fair to give them a chance to take the club to the next level. I can’t be looking for a job now because the club has said they will take care of me until the end of the contract.”
