Former Golden Arrows and Chippa United coach Mabhuti Khenyeza has landed a new coaching job at Black Leopards, returning to the bench in the PSL just one day after exiting ABC Motsepe League side Komani United.
Khenyeza is joining Leopards in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to replace Joel Masutha, who is on his way out of the club. Masutha returned to the Limpopo-based side last season to take over from Zeca Marques. The latter was also shown the exit door.
Last season, the former Baroka FC coach, Masutha, had an impressive run with Leopards, finishing fourth in the league table and narrowly missing out on the PSL Promotional/Relegation playoffs.
After Leopards had a challenging start to the current campaign, Masutha is on his way out of the club. He’s leaving the club in 14th position on the log with nine points after 10 matches. Khenyeza will take over the job as Lidoda Duvha aim to push for promotion to the Betway Premiership next season.
MABHUTI KHENYEZA HAS ARRIVED AT LEOPARDS

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker had a brief spell with ABC Motsepe League side Komani United after leaving Chippa United last season. He served as an assistant coach to Thabo September at the Chilli Boys.
FARPost has learnt that Khenyeza has finalised his move to Leopards, and he will take over his first training session on Tuesday afternoon. The 43-year-old mentor will have Abel Makhubela as his assistant coach, while Simon Gopane will handle the role of goalkeeper coach.
“Mabhuti Khanyeza has arrived in Venda. I can tell you that the deal is done for him to become the new coach of Black Leopards,” a source said.
“Khenyeza is taking over from Masutha, as you might have seen that the coach is leaving the club. So Khanyeza will begin his role on Tuesday afternoon.”
