SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Musina United has roped in Joel Masutha as the club’s new head coach for the 2025/26 campaign.
This comes after Masutha cut ties with Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Black Leopards earlier this month, with Mabhuti Khanyeza taking over the coaching reins at Lidoda Duvha.
Masutha left Leopards struggling in the relegation zone in 14th position after accumulating nine points from 10 outings in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Musina United confirmed the latest development on their social media platforms on Tuesday, 18 November 2025. Masutha will be assisted by former Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows star Luvhengo Mungomeni.
Masutha has already started his job, as he was in charge of the club’s training session on Wednesday morning.

MUSINA UNITED’S OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON JOEL MASUTHA’S APPOINTMENT
The club expressed its excitement at having acquired the services of the well-travelled mentor and believes he’s the right man to take the side to greater heights.
“Musina United is proud to announce that Joel Masutha is our new head coach. We look forward to a great future under your guidance,” said the club in a statement.
Masutha’s experience in the SA elite league and Motsepe Foundation Championship is expected to come in handy to help Musina United challenge for the league title. Winning the league will provide them with the opportunity to qualify for the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs. This stage is the gateway to promotion into the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
As things stand, Musina United are placed ninth in Stream A of the Limpopo Motsepe League. They have collected one point after two games. In those two matches, they lost one encounter and drew one.
The club’s next league fixture will be against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM] on Saturday, 22 November 2025. The showdown will take place at Musina Rugby Stadium, with kick-off set for 15:00.
