Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker has declined to address the future of Lehlohonolo Mojela and Lesiba Nku amid reports of imminent exits.
The Betway Premiership side travelled to Polokwane for their CAF Confederation Cup match against AS Otoho without the duo.
Both Nku and Mojela have reportedly been ordered to train separately away from the senior team. There has been speculation about whether the latest developments are due to disciplinary issues.
Mojela is in his second season at the club after joining from TS Galaxy at the start of the 2024/25 season. Nku, on the other hand, joined Stellenbosch in January 2025, after a short stint at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speaking ahead of the CAF Confed Cup tie taking place on Sunday, Barker says the club is more focused on the Group C match.
“I think I will leave that for another occasion,” he said, referring to the reports on the two players.
“Our concentration is fully on the CAF competition, which is a totally different competition. We need to focus and make sure that tomorrow we put in a performance that can give us a good start to the campaign.”

STELLENBOSCH FC COACH WANTS TO START CAF CONFEDERATION TIE ON A GOOD START
“We are excited, coming off a good campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup last season. We have always aimed at making our mark and putting our footprint on the continent.
“Therefore, we have to look forward to these occasions. We understand how challenging it is to advance past the group stage. The importance of winning home matches. They [AS Otoho] have earned the right to be here in the group stages, which shows that they are a good team.
“They have a number of players in the national team [Congo]. So we are expecting a difficult match. It’s never an easy match in these group stages, and we are aware of that. But we have had good preparations, and we work really hard to improve certain areas that we feel we need to improve as a club.”
