Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has described defender Thabo Moloisane as a solid professional following the player’s 100-game milestone for the club.
Moloisane made his 100th appearance for the club during the 1-0 win against AS Otohô in a CAF Confederation Cup Group C match at New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The club picked up the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue due to the unavailability of a stadium in the Western Cape.
The Bafana Bafana player joined Stellenbosch at the beginning of the 2023/24 season and has become an important part of the Steve Barker side.
He was part of the squad that won the 2023 Carling Knockout and twice finished as runners-up in the MTN8.

“I’m very proud of Thabo; he had a tough season with Maritzburg when they got relegated,” said Barker after the match.
“We picked him up, and since then, Thabo has played 100 games. He is the only player to reach 100 who started in every game. Other players reached 100 but came on as substitutes.
“So for him to start 100 games for the club is really good and a proud moment for him. He’s done really well for us.”

Moloisane and his Stellenbosch teammates will now shift focus to their second group match on Saturday.
They are set to face Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars FC in Zanzibar. Black Stars FC started their campaign with a 2-0 loss against Algerian side CR Belouizdad.
