Stellenbosch FC and Bafana Bafana defender Thabo Moloisane has had his say following his 100-game milestone for the Cape Winelands-based outfit this past Sunday in Polokwane.
Moloisane ran out for the 100th time in Stellenbosch colours when they beatย AS Otoho 1-0 in a CAF Confederation Cup Group C tieย at New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The 26-year-old joined Stellenbosch at the start of the 2023/24 season from Maritzburg United, who were relegated from the SA top-flight league that very campaign, and has become a key player for the Steve Barker-coached club.
In addition, the former Mamelodi Sundowns product was part of the Stellies team that won the 2023 Carling Knockout, finished twice as runners-up in the MTN8, and qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup two times in a row.
Interestingly, Moloisane has become the first player to reach the 100-appearance milestone while starting every game at Stellenbosch FC.

WHAT THABO MOLOISANE SAID ABOUT STELLENBOSCH FC’S 100 CAPS
Moloisane expressed his delight at reaching the milestone for Stellenbosch, stating that he can go on to reach 500 appearances for the club if he stays fit and injury-free.
“I mean, look, this is the club I really love so much. So, as long as I’m fit and the coach believes in me, I think I can reach 500 appearances,” he said. ย “The 100-milestone shows that when you put in the hard work, you can go far.
“Stellenbosch believed in me from the get-go when I set foot in the team. I’m very proud of what I have achieved with the club. I’m excited that I have made my 100th appearance for this wonderful team, with a win and a clean sheet. This shows the right building blocks just after the FIFA international break.
“The brotherhood in the team also played a role in my success. When I got here, they made it easier for me to acclimatise to the environment very quickly and easily.
“The shared hard work and belief we get from coach Steve Barker and the entire technical team encourage me to get better as a footballer because the motto of the club itself is more than football and improving yourself in every game.”
Given his stellar displays for Stellenbosch, Moloisane has made it to the Bafana preliminary squad for the upcoming AFCON tournament due to be held in Morocco from 21 December 2025.
