Mamelodi Sundowns have officially bid farewell to senior performance analyst, Goolam ‘GV’ Valodia, after 15 years at the club.

Masandawana recently returned from their CAF Champions League duties last week, on Friday. They secured a hard-earned 0-0 draw against Rulani Mokwenaโ€™s MC Alger in their Group C encounter at the Ali La Ponte Stadium in Algeria.

The 2016 African champions are top of the log with four points from their two opening matches. They will return to continental football in January 2026 when they take on Al-Hilal.

GOOLAM VALODIA HAS DEPARTED MASANDAWANA AFTER 15 YEARS

It emerged that Valodia had not been part of the team, raising questions about his whereabouts. This is despite him being part of the team that had travelled to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.

He was part of the team that won 10 league titles, the CAF Champions League, the African Football League [AFL], and the CAF Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Masandawana will be back in action on Wednesday, 3 December, when they take on Siwelele FC at the Dr Molemela Stadium in a league tie. It will be their last match before the CAF AFCON break.

They are currently second in the Betway Premiership with 25 points, three behind rivals Orlando Pirates. Both clubs have played 12 matches so far.
