Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has issued a final rallying cry as Amakhosi shift focus to the club’s two remaining fixtures of the year.
The Soweto giants are left with two Betway Premiership games before they head for the AFCON break. They visit bottom-placed Chippa United on Wednesday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, before concluding the year by travelling to Mbombela Stadium to face TS Galaxy on December 7.
The PSL assignments come against the backdrop of a two-match winless run in the CAF Confederation Cup, starting with a 2-1 defeat away at Al Masry, followed by a 1-1 home draw with Zamalek SC.
That left Amakhosi third in Group D with five points fewer than leaders Al Masry, going into the third round of matches in 2026. They resume their continental duties by visiting ZESCO United on February 25.
On the domestic front, the Soweto giants are currently fourth on the Betway Premiership table with six points behind log leaders Orlando Pirates, who have played a game more than them.
Chiefs have three points less than second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played a match more. They are tied with third-placed Sekhukhune United on 22 points but have a worse goal difference.
The Chippa and TS Galaxy matches give Chiefs a chance to end the year level on points with the Buccaneers if they win both games. But they would have played a game more than Pirates, who have already concluded their league commitments for the year.

‘WE ARE IN A GOOD SPACE’: KAZE ON CHIEFS’ POSITION
Looking at their situation both at home and on the continent, Kaze states his thoughts on Amakhosi going into the AFCON break.
“I think we need to concentrate on our two remaining games and we want to finish very well this season,” Kaze said on SABC Sport.
“We are in a good space, the players are focused, and they know what is at stake. Now, we need to rest and prepare for Wednesday.”
