Just days after Durban City FC sensationally parted ways with veteran head coach Gavin Hunt, they have sacked their DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] coach, Daine Klate.
The KZN club announced Hunt’s departure on Monday, stating they had completed “a thorough review of the team’s objectives and trajectory.”
Hunt had joined the club at the start of the season and was believed to have recommended Klate, whom he coached at SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits during his prime years.
The dual sacking this week indicates the complete dismantling of a partnership meant to form the foundation of the newly promoted club’s future.
