TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has revealed the club’s main target for the next transfer window, which is set to open on the 1st of January 2026.
Galaxy ended the first round of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season with a goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday at Mbombela Stadium.
As a result of the draw against Amakhosi, Galaxy will end the year 2025 sitting eighth on the league table with 21 points, having won six games, drawn three, and lost on five occasions in 14 matches.
The Rockets have had a decent run in the league under Beganovic, displaying an impressive brand of football. Having established themselves as one of the competitive teams in the current campaign, Galaxy coach Beganovic has outlined the club’s transfer plans to beef up the squad.

The 42-year-old mentor has revealed that the Mpumalanga-based side is targeting a centre-back who is comfortable with playing out from the back. Galaxy currently has Macbeth Mahlangu, Khulumani Ndamane, Veluyeke Zulu, Kutlwano Mokoena, and Igo Salatiel in the centre-back position.
“I’m so happy with all the players, but you know we are always looking for one or two players that we can find in January,” Beganovic said on SuperSport TV. “For me, one central defender will be okay, someone who is comfortable on the ball and can play between two lines. I know it’s tough, but let’s try to do that.”
Meanwhile, the Tim Sukazi-owned team will also have a decision to make on Phakamani Mahlambi, who has been under assessment at the club as he looks to bring his career back on track.
The talented attacker has been without a club since his spell with Chippa United in 2021.
